As season 7 drew towards an end, we witnessed Silas realize his mistake of dreaming to take over the business. Events in a last few segments of the show including some in the finale went on to prove that Silas has a lot to learn before he could take over the business.

If we discuss events in the finale, missing out on his Jill-blunder was kind of impossible. I mean , with all the confidence that Silas had been throwing around for a while, in order to prove himself capable of replacing Nancy, he should have been able to identify Jill, before it got too late.
The same Jill, whom he contacted, blackmailed his mother against signing the custody papers and had been incriminating files from Nancy’s computer. Nancy had to bear with all of it, as she desperately wanted her as a witness in the court.
Weeds episodes towards the end of the season 7 find the softer and more sober side of Nancy, as she puts up silently with unexpected behavior from a lot of people(Heylia, for example).
It took Silas only a few seconds to have his mother forgive him, and head on to gift him an entire huge room to grow the best of crops. On the other hand, we come to know that Shane was training to turn into a NYPD officer soon. So a huge clash can be expected in the upcoming season, an NYPD officer from a family of drug-traffickers. Thrilling, must say…
The last scene of the season 7 finale had a sniper with Nancy on its crossbow, and a shot is heard.
Did her enemies take her down? Well, an entire season cannot run without Nancy, for sure. So all we can assume is that Nancy’s life is danger and someone was desperately trying to take her down, once and for all.

Do you know what dry wit is all about?
Well if you don’t, let me not beat around the bush, instead serve you an example of dry wit at its best, straight from the books of Doug Wilson a.k.a. Kevin Nealon from the hit TV series, Weeds.
He thought he was still in his prime at the age of 53, but somehow, the very thought of the rising age difference between him and his growing up four-year-old kid sent shudders down his spine.
So he came upon an idea to hire this 30-year-old soul from Kentucky to pick up his son from school, pretending to be his father for that particular daily moment!
Gosh! Look at you! Now bring down that frown…
Kevin Nealon, who plays Wilson’s character, a character that often makes you go for a Weeds download, was simply trying to get the audience crack into laughter. It took some intense seconds to gulp down all that he narrated just as a joke.
Well, that’s exactly what dry wit is all about, and let me tell you that Nealon is the best of the best when it comes to letting you both frown and laugh together.
His comedy, that stands out for comprising the most hilarious of witty statements that are delivered with scary intensity and seriousness, has been acknowledged way back in the 1980s, when he took up his first assignment as standup comedian in the TV series, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
And now, after so many years we were delighted to watch him return to standup comedy with four shows at the Comedy Quarter in Neenah.
This Weeds star has been able to bring us smiles for nine whole years on Saturday Night Live, and is said to be Adam Sandler’s one of the favorite guest.
Hats off!
Fans of the popular druggy series, Weeds, must be aware of all the rivalry that exists in the Botwin family at the moment.
Though we accept the fact that it was Nancy Botwin, who introduced her elder son Silas to her drug business, we also have to admit the fact that Silas was a grown-up man, and had acquired each and every skill from her mother to run their family weed business in a rather profitable manner.
So as we expected, Silas wanted to replace his mother as the real owner of the business. In short, he wanted to be in full control, something that Nancy will never let happen at any cost.
So there is a lot of momentary roughness between the two in the Weeds episodes, which make us wonder, and gauge the impact of these developments on the real life bond between the two.
Well, I can say that both of them are mature enough to not let their reel lives affect their real lives in any manner, and that is exactly what we found when we dared to explore their off-screen relationship.
The two have nothing but sheer love and admiration for each other. And that’s not at all sarcastically quoted you know.
Hunter Parrish was all excited to perform the role of Jesus from Broadway’s Godspell at the square theatre, and Nancy was all excited and thrilled at the latest developments and was happy for Parris for finally taking up theatre seriously.
She admitted that she was happier for the very fact that Hunter in the past had confided in her about his dreams to excel in NYC’s theatrical scenario, and now his dreams were coming true. And the best part – he is willing to toil hard for it.

Carry him caravan, take him away, and take him to the Other Desert Countries, instead of Portugal and Spain.
There’s no stopping Justin Kirk, when the actor is already performing Trip Wyeth’s role in Baitz’s Broadway production, Other Desert Cities.
Now, he will be replacing Thomas Sadoski, the actor who will perform last, on the 8th January, 2012 show.
Now that’s exactly what luck is all about, you know.
A Weeds download takes us on a ride into Kirk’s career for us to know how it all actually started.
The role bestowed on him an opportunity to crack the tougher nuts in the industry and end up in a Broadway production by none other than Joe Mantello!
Trust me; the cast of the play comprises figures for one to watch out for!
Stockard Channing, Rachel Griffiths, Stacy Keach and Judith Light are some of the leading co-actors, in this show.
The plot of this Broadway production revolves around a homecoming novelist, who is returning home to celebrate Christmas with her loved ones. Kirk will be playing the novelist’s brother, who puts up along with her parents at the Palm Springs.
To everybody’s surprise, she announces her plans to jot down a memoir, highlighting explosive truths about the family. This comes in as an unhappy surprise for the family, which ends up spoiling her vacation completely.
The role of the brother wasn’t an easy one to play and it came to Kirk, mainly because of his contribution to theatre, in all these years of his life.
A Lucille Lortel Award at the Lincoln Center Theatre, followed by roles in plays on the NCY stage, like The Understudy, The World Over, Any Given Day, Old Wicked Songs and June Moon had instilled in him, the required confidence and charm to spellbind the audience, time and again.
We hope he does well, time and again!
Does he?
Actually, he does!
I mean, all the weed that we find around us is nothing but his creation.
But then, I guess each and every soul, who has ever enjoyed reefer smoke, is aware of this.
Is that all that I wanted to decipher with that title, in this blog?
No, there’s a bit more than this!
The creator had created whatever he had to, along with the most intelligent creature of all - human beings, to use and abuse them.
What we were not aware of, was that these days, he has started dealing out the soft drug, in huge quantities!
Wait!
I really do not want you to bring that crucified, long haired, almost nude man, down from your walls and your place of worship at home.
It is sacred and trust me, it still is!
Well, did you think that Jesus might be somebody’s name too?
And what if it’s a drug peddler’s?
Would you still want to crush years of faith, within a few seconds?
We are in conversation about the character Jesus, from the Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak’s Godspell – a rock musical play, based on the Gospel of Mathews’ parables.
Hunter Parrish, the actor who is popular for his role of Silas Botwin, the ambitious pot-dealer in the Weeds episodes, will be performing this powerful character.
So, isn’t Jesus already dealing with weed?
Ok! Maybe it wasn’t all that funny!
Well anyway, the role is indeed a big one!
Listen to this; the play was performed for the first time in the year 1971 and was soon adapted into a movie in 1973. The play won accolades and critical acclamation from all over and got enlisted as a Broadway play, in the year 1976.
And, this time around, Daniel Goldstein is directing a revival of this play, with help from his award winning design team, from the famous 2006 Paper Mill Playhouse production house.
Hunter is rehearsing since the 13th October for the performance at the Square Theatre on November 7th, 2011 and I have to say, I am quite tempted to catch the show.
What about you all?

A glance at Ms. Mary Louise Parker’s career graph can probably help you guess the reasons behind her selection as the new host of the Emmy awarded TV series, Independent Lens.

With the kind of roles that attract the actress, it is easy to judge her knack to explore the more difficult and sensitive facets of human existence.
Her willingness to plunge into the often neglected, but real human emotional conflicts and survival modes, has given her career, an exclusive status and identity.
To put in a simpler and a more illustrious manner, her role in Weeds has all the defining points that explain her rich taste and ability to look deeper into a role. When you watch Weeds online, you can conclude that Mary as a human being is able to think this far. There’s a lot more to this world and Mary has kept her eyes and ears wide open.
So, conclusions like these, add on to cast her apart from the run of the mill performers, in the industry.
And, trust me, there might be a lot more conclusions that one can draw, from the way she has shaped her career.
Our Hollywood biggies must be aware of all of them and that is exactly the reason that a few among them have chosen her as the host for one of the most celebrated independent film promotional series of the decade.
Independent Lens, the Emmy awarded series would be having Mary-Louise Parker as the host, on its upcoming season 10, which is all set to premiere on Thursday, October 13th, 2011.
If you are able to download the past of this show, you would recall that it has been blessed with gifted hosts like America Ferrera, Don Cheadle, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Terrence Howard, Susan Sarandon, Edie Falco and Angela Bassett. All these artists added to unique splendor of the program.
Let’s hope that Mary is able to keep the fire burning!
Well, from the casting developments in the industry, it certainly seems that the illegality of smoking pot would soon lose its very purpose.

Why do we need to introduce such laws when God’s son himself is dealing in weed? Not only dealing, he is an expert when it comes to growing the finest marijuana crop and operating a weed dispensary!
Hunter Parrish is the actor who is famous for playing the character of Silas Botwin on the popular TV series Weeds. As the show’s download would reveal, the character is that of the broad shouldered weed peddler who, maybe a bit too early in his life, has took on his mother’s business burden in a pretty rewarding manner.
And now the same drug peddler will be starring as God’s Son in the revival of John-Michael Tebelak and Stephen Schwartz’s 1971 Broadway play, Godspell. (So, all my assumptions and connections were ‘just for laughs’)
Only when you watch Weeds online, can you actually know how different the two roles would be and yet Parrish feels that both the roles are pretty similar to each other, for the simple reason that both his characters share love and sprinkle happiness, despite their contradictory methods!
Considering the actor’s 2008 Broadway debut in Spring Awakening, this would be his second performance, which, undoubtedly, remains hugely awaited.
As reported, he was thrilled to be a part of the Broadway circle once again and one of the significant reasons was the strong Broadway community.
I guess someone as creative and as minimally conscious as Hunter can probably breathe with the maximum amount of ease and be himself completely in these circles.
What say, Son of God?

Weeds will witness the end of the current season soon. The final episode is just round the corner and the writer has aptly titled it Do Her/Don’t Do Her. I think it refers to Silas because in the last episode, the Nancy-Silas conflict over the business had reached an irreconcilable level.

In the next one, Silas will be seen one step ahead of Nancy in the drug business. Nancy would be dealing with many other things, like Stevie’s possession.
In the last episode, Nancy’s lawyer informed her that she might get Stevie’s possession. Will she get her son’s custody? Jill has taken good care of Stevie, but children need their mother.
Silas is new in the business and so found it difficult to establish the mob, but in the final episode, he will be seen steaming up in the business.
Silas never liked Nancy’s leadership style which compelled him to start his own business. He is like his mother, tenacious in nature.
Shane doesn’t want her mother to face any more problems, especially from Detective Ouellete. In the last episode, we saw the humanist Shane, when he helped Detective Ouellete reunite with his stepson Billy; his method was murky but it served the purpose.
He did it to meet his own selfish needs, though. Weeds season 7 episode 13 will reveal whether Ouellete will return the favor by helping Nancy out or not.
Doug will be seen working hard on the hedge fund scam.
The final episode is jam-packed with action, and I am dying to watch it. They have so much to show, I hope the episode will do justice to all the characters, especially little Stevie.
Sometimes, money makes near and dear ones turn against each other. And the sad part is that it is happening very often nowadays. The same will be reflected in the upcoming episode of Weeds.

The story will be taken forward from the last episode in which a feud broke out between Nancy and Silas. The fact that Nancy is calling the shots didn’t go down well with her son, Silas.
And when the truth about the raid at Pouncy House came in front of him, he decided to take things under his control.
In the approaching episode, titled ‘Qualitative Spatial Reasoning’, another scuffle will break out between mother and son. In the past episode, Silas already cleared the air regarding his separate business venture.
Thus, it would be interesting to see what the matter is all about in this episode.
While Nancy and Silas would be exchanging sharp words, Andy will try to play the referee.
He might try to resolve the matters, but from the look of the situation, it is clear that it would not be an easy task.
Meanwhile, Shane will be busy in his own game. Due to the past happenings, his image has suffered a blow in the eyes of Detective Ouellette. But things have been looking good between them after the raid on Pouncy House. In the episode, which will air on September 19, he will try to show Ouellette that he is still dependable.
While all this will be happening, audience will watch Doug trying to divert an official’s attention from his hedge-fund scam.
An agent of Securities and Exchange Commission would try to take a whiff of the matter, but Doug will keep his secret from him.
Weeds season 7 episode 12 will witness another day in the life of pot dealing mother, Nancy.

The Weeds queen bee, Nancy Botwin, always hold all aces with herself, especially when it comes to a deal in marijuana pot selling. And this time, she is all set to sign the biggest deal of her life that can curb the financial crunches of her life as well.

She seems so desperate to get this deal that she can break all rules. I’m slightly disappointed with this marijuana dealer, for she always underestimates her business competitors, and this makes her all the more vulnerable!
Undoubtedly, Nancy is exceptionally dangerous, but that doesn’t mean she should take her rivals lightly. Moreover, I’m sure Nancy will be stopped by Emma in Weeds season 7 episode 11.
Nancy will try to complete this mission in the coming weekend. And for this purpose, she will take her family to the East Hamptons to spend some quality time, but this is like hitting two birds with the same stone!
May she soon grab this deal, without facing any hurdle!
Like always, her business partners Doug and Andy will also lend their hand for this million dollar deal. Would they be any help?
Une Mère Que J’aimerais Baiser! Can you decode this?
No friends, I’m not abusing anyone in foreign language. It is the title of the upcoming episode, which means ‘A Mother I’d like to F***’!
Isn’t it strange? For me, it is really difficult to find relevance of this in the coming installment. But let’s wait and watch, for I’m sure the creators have something interesting in their mind.
Furthermore, Silas will try to mend her relationship with Emma Louise, trying to make her understand the truth behind the failure of the former deal.
Since this girl has already faced failure, she won’t miss any chance to get the other one!
Beware Nancy! She is waiting for you!
Universal Studios will have the presence of Nancy Botwin, the famous weed peddler as a part of a movie’s cast that would be witnessing its premiere on the June 28, 2013.

This supernatural, friendly cop movie RIPD (Rest in Peace Department) has Mary-Louise Parker as the new addition to its star cast, and will undoubtedly be having the Emmy awarded actor joining the cast at the premiere.
The movie takes a peek into the lives of the already dead, yet committed members of the RIPD, who now share responsibility of running this divine law enforcement agency.
It revolves around Nick Cruz, who was at the peaks of his career, when he was murdered by someone he did not know. And now that he is dead, he signs off a deal with RIPD, promising hundred years of his service in return for a chance to track down the person who killed him.
And the best thing about this movie is that Mary-Louise Parker is joining the star cast of RIPD as Proctor, a woman, who is the first one to let Cruz know that he’s already dead.
As Proctor she would be romantically involved with Bo, the character of Jeff Bridges, who is another dead policeman. He teams up with Cruz on a mission to trace the person, who wanted him dead.
Mary-Louis-Parker is known for her performance as the weed dealer Nancy Price Botwin, and a Weeds download would get you closer to the character of this house wife, who opts to peddle weed to fund her family after her husband’s death.
And with this development, I hope that this marijuana dealer’s fans would be all excited and ready to wait and watch their stony Nancy turn into Jeff Bridge’s Death Informant.

Feisty lady Nancy has never tolerated abuse of any of her closed ones. And when Emma bullied Silas, she actually summoned danger for herself.

Yes folks, everything has boiled down to saturation point, and it has become imperative that Nancy takes revenge for her son.
Weeds season 7 episode 10, titled System Overhead, will bring a charged-up team of Nancy (that includes Andy, Silas and Nancy herself) on one hand, and that of nefarious Emma, consisting of goons and ruffians, on the other.
It’s understood that Emma paid goons to beat up Silas, thereby eliminating a competitor from business.
But with Nancy at the helm of family affairs, I feel Emma has chosen a wrong ball out of the urn, as the smart pot-dealer hasn’t spared anyone casting a bad eye over her family.
However, Emma being no ordinary girl, I think it wouldn’t be an easy task for Botwins to take on her. Andy and Silas have already witnessed Emma’s brutal side, and I bet they would plan a foolproof revenge to serve her the same medicine.
Apart from the Botwin family, System Overhead will also focus on Doug’s affairs (job).
And it remains to be seen how he juggles and balances her personal and professional life after being hit by a financial crisis.
Will he turn up to Botwins for help? Will Nancy give his sorry state of affairs a thought? Don’t forget to watch for the consequences that will hit your screens very shortly! More than that, it is the ugly brawl between Nancy and Emma that has to be meted out now or never!
Which team do you think would win this game? I am not referring to the competition between them, but their grand ways of earning livelihood in an unknown city.
Check out for the ultimate solution!
The super sexy marijuana-seller Nancy Botwin can brew venomous poison for anyone. But it seems that the pretty lady is in a completely different mood!

Stick around to get acquainted with her plans!
Nancy and Andy are in a mood to stop Zoya from taking over the shop. Fair enough, after all that bike shop is the ultimate source of income, and an opportunist like Nancy Botwin, cannot let it go easily.
Keep it up girl, may you win!
On the other hand, Silas will be facing a difficult situation. Well, it seems that it is going to be the most spectacular rival gang encounter of the ongoing season. Don’t forget to watch what happens, when Silas encounters his rival!
It can be called a clash of titans, where two different marijuana-dealers may go to any extent to dig each other’s grave. Initially, selling marijuana was a mode of winning bread and butter for Nancy, but now, it is much more than that.
It will be interesting to catch Weeds season 7 episode 9 to witness this gang war!
Moreover, Doug will have to deal with the Security and Exchange Commission. Well, nothing much has been revealed about it, but it seems that something interesting is cooking in Doug’s mind.
I guess, he is in a mood to sign a business deal! Well, good luck guy!
Believe it or not, but I simply cannot forget the scene when Zoya introduced herself as the ladylove of Nancy Botwin. It was a really humorous moment for all of us, but Nancy’s reaction compelled us to think that she wasn’t really happy with this act.
And as of now, Nancy is all set to take revenge from Zoya, because in the previous segment, she abruptly stopped her delivery of marijuana!
I really don’t know anything about the intentions of Zoya, but it seems that she has signed her death warrant by doing this.
Let’s wait to figure it out.

If there was anything Nancy must have had prayed for during her time in prison, it would be that nothing from her prison life should follow her into the world outside.

Ironic though it may sound, Nancy’s bad luck followed her outside, spoiling her single wish, too.
Zoya has entered Nancy’s life! And before you nudge your partner, asking who Zoya is, she was Nancy’s cellmate. (You won’t nudge your partner asking who a cellmate is, will you?)
Weeds season 7 episode 8 is bringing Zoya back into Nancy’s life and with that, it is bringing memories from her prison days. Is Zoya’s return also bringing some secrets from the prison time?
And if it’s not, why is Nancy so worried about Zoya? Are there some secrets that might come up with Zoya? If there are such secrets, no matter how much we like Nancy, and how much we want her to stay out of trouble, we would want the secrets to come out.
Therefore, let’s welcome Zoya!
Just as Nancy seems to be having a difficult time, Silas and Andy, would also go through a rough patch. Their business doesn’t seem to be bringing much good to them; it’s definitely not bringing peace to their mind.
If that sounds doubtful to you, watch them pointing out their disagreements to each other when the segment arrives!
But Shane, unlike others, is having a good run.
He is buoyed and feeling very informative after the internship with the police. It’s a sign of a great future ahead.
Well, we would know about his future soon, for that is exactly what Weeds is here for.
And just before I finish this run, let me inform you that ‘Synthetics’ airs on August 15, 2011!
No nudges, please; ‘Synthetics’ is the name of the upcoming Weeds segment.
Perhaps, it’s her nature!

Knowing that this blaze could reduce her to ashes, and might also engulf her beloved family and friends, Nancy would still pursue the marijuana business.
The incidents in Object Impermanence, the last segment, portrayed how after a bit of hara-kiri, Nancy somehow got help from Heylia to procure pot for selling.
In fact, I would say it was Silas, who set the stone rolling for his mother.
In the next episode of this smash hit series, we are going to witness the ramifications of Object Impermanence.
To be more precise, Weeds season 7 episode 7 would see Nancy using Doug’s softball match as a platform for her marijuana business! Needless to assume, that much of humor as well as desperate situations would find their way, along with the events at the sidelines of the softball match.
It also remains to be seen how Doug would react after learning of the dangerous motives of Andy and Nancy to sell pot during the softball match that involves his company.
He already has the notion that he was hired as an accountant, because of his solid hand at softball pitching. Having mentioned that, I would like to watch his game skills more so, with the hurly burly that Nancy would evoke.
Anyway, the most important question that the trajectory of the story has so far dished out is, why is Nancy hell bent on dealing weed?
The answer lies in the desperation that joblessness has brought to the Botwin family. Moreover, Nancy also needs money to win the custody of her son Stevie from her own sister.
The last thing that Nancy would want to happen is the drug dealing thing to expose. It would not just take away the option of parole, but also pave her way to cell once again.
Stay tuned to witness the consequences of a belle’s action, who is not petrified to cross any limits and flirts with any danger that comes in front of her.
